Debra's Favorite Inspirations

Hi everyone, in case you don't know me, I'm Debra from

Acquired Objects

.  I feel so honored that Mona has included me in her Christmas inspiration series with so many other talented bloggers.  I love Christmas and if you're like me and pressed for time as so many of us are or being budget conscious I have a few ideas for you...

Holiday Inspiration

Holiday decorating doesn't need to be over the top you just need the great outdoors and all it has to offer such as pine branches, eucalyptus, pine cones and a few candles for a simple but elegant effect.

Holiday Inspirations

Look around outside many evergreen shrubs have berries that you could decorate with along with holly shrubs and crabapple trees.

If you still have your white pumpkins and gourds just add them to the mix.

Holiday Inspiration

I think this year I'm going to use burlap and greenery for my holiday buffet.

Christmas balls aren't only for the tree! Hang them everywhere including balls in front of windows.

I love paper whites and they're so easy to grow you don't even need dirt. Just toss them in some water and watch them shoot up. They look great mixed with Amaryllis flowers too.

Don't forget fresh fruit such as green apples, oranges, kumquats and pomegranates mixed in with some greens. Instead of purchasing your fruit from your local grocer why not order it from

For every purchase the company donates an equal amount of fresh fruit to food banks. It’s a simple way of giving back and helping others.

I love placing small trees around our home and keeping their decoration simple so every room has a bit of Christmas cheer.

I hope these images gave you some ideas for decorating your home and all you need are some shears to get going. Take some clippers along with you next time your out on a walk but don’t clip from your neighbors shrubs!

I want to thank Mona for inviting me to join in her holiday inspiration posts and I want to wish everyone a very

Merry Holiday Season!

Wow!!!  I wish I had seen all these ideas before I did my own decorating.  I'm in love with all the fresh greens everywhere.  I did go more natural this year butI'll be adding more in here and there for that fresh scent.  And I love Debra's burlap idea for her Christmas buffet.  You cannot beat it's wonderful natural texture.  A huge thanks for this fabulous post!

And now it's your turn.  What do you think of all the beautiful natural vs. faux?  It's your turn.  Let's talk!
