herbs de Provence roast chicken
Here's what you'll need
4 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons herbs de Provence
Fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, lavender)
Rub the entire chicken with butter.
Tie the drumsticks together with kitchen twine.
Season the chicken by sprinkling it with herbs de Provence and salt.
Cook the chicken for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until cooked. Baste the chicken periodically while cooking.
Before carving the chicken, let it stand for five minutes.
