Sunday Supper...Roasted Beef Tenderloin

Wow!...

I had grander plans for this post.. A birthday party for my husband and our Daddy on Saturday night...obviously that's the big thing this weekend...won't be cooking tonight...but lot's of great leftovers...

It's been a very busy week...This is the first time I have grocery shopped, cooked, decorated the house and wrapped the gifts all in the same day as the party...If Sister had not helped with the food, I would have been in real trouble...

I jumped in the shower and got ready 45 minutes before everyone arrived...that was a first...but it was family, and the minute we were all together...it was  OK...

Unfortunately all of the wonderful pictures I had planned to take...just didn't happen... I don't have one picture of the food...and didn't take one of the dining table until the dishes had been cleared...

A video of my day would have been very comical...I literally ran from one project to the next...

Had to do a little Fall decorating on the front porch...I have been out of town just about the entire Fall and didn't even have a pumpkin... Didn't do much, but I think it's simple and pretty...

 Corn Dip

I used The Pioneer Woman's recipe for the  beef tenderloin...and it was superb!

This is her image...but mine looked just like this...delicious!!!

Sunday Supper...Lemon Chicken

Not a lot of time this weekend for the kitchen...here's a super easy lemon chicken recipe that we love.  You can prepare it on the stove or in the crock pot...

The recipe is from The Queen Bee's Hive...lot's of fun stuff on her blog.

Lemon Chicken

Melt 1 cube butter in fry pan.

Layer on 4 Chicken Breasts, or Chicken Tenders.

Sprinkle with 1 pkg. Italian Seasonings Salad Dressing Mix

Add juice of 2 lemons.

Cook until tender. Put the lid on at first, then take off at the end in order to brown and absorb seasonings.

Can be done in crock pot. (For chicken breast:  Cook on Hi: 4-5 hours, on Low:  6-8 hours.  When finished cooking, take out, shred chicken with 2 forks, and ladle on the juices.

Thanksgiving is at my house...so I'm starting to play with table setting ideas...

Definitely going with simple and and natural...

I would add pumpkins and moss into this arrangement.   Love the apple candles, but would just loosen this up a bit.

Love the mixed elements here and the addition of the pheasant feathers.  I have a box full of those...

The colors in this arrangement are beautiful and would be perfect in my dining room... 

It's great to get a heads up going in my mind, to take the last minute pressure off.

But it's dine in the kitchen tonight...
