A Beautiful Home for Christmas

We've been working on a project for the past two years that we haven't shared much about.  We met the clients through Parkinson Building Group and have been involved from the very beginning.  It excites us to be a part of the initial floor plans because we feel like we have a lot of fresh ideas to bring to the table...It's been a long rewarding process...

Our clients moved in the first week in November and we decorated the home for Christmas as well as the accessorizing while they were out of town the week before Thanksgiving...

Talena and Zac as we shut the door...job complete...

But we would like to invite you in...

The tree is gorgeous and stands in the foyer...Our client ordered the pre-lit 12 ft. tree from Frontgate.  It arrived just in the knick of time mid day on Friday.  We were almost finished with everything else, so we worked Saturday to finish the tree and vacuum our way out the door before our clients returned home on Sunday.

How funny...Sister in her coat.  She was freezing.  We started with nothing...every single garland, ribbon, light and ornament was chosen and installed in a week.  We started early Monday morning.  You won't believe it but this was the first house we have ever decorated for Christmas for a client..We go all out on our own homes, but we don't normally do this for clients.  It's two different kinds of decorating and we've just never been interested in pursuing this professionally.  We did five homes this year and proclaimed it enough.  Lot's of hard work.  See how we did...

The tree stands in the foyer.  Remember we started with nothing...Absolutely NO Christmas decorations. But we were very picky about every single ribbon and ornament that was bought.  I was the shopper and runner and Talena and Zac did the installation...and they did a fabulous job!  What made this job difficult is that the tree arrived so late...We had to go ahead and do everything else and save things for the tree, hope that we had enough...we didn't had to run out and buy more on Saturday morning...It was crazy...

We shopped everywhere...Our own store...Providence Design,  Southern Wholesale, Tipton and Hurst, Cobblestone and Vine, Marshall Clements, Coming Home Interiors, Embellish, Vivid Designs, Parkhill Collection, Fabulous Finds Antique Mall, Mid Towne Antique Mall, Tanarrah Luxe Floral, Hobby Lobby, Pottery Barn, Michaels, Marshalls, Hancocks Fabrics.  I made multiple trips to all of these places...

Notice the battery operated candles in the tree...

The dining room in this home is one of our favorites ever...So many details...Remember these doors we found over a year ago at Round Top?

They now flank the entrance to the dining room.  All the other doorways are arched so we had an iron transom fabricated and finished to mimic the iron in the old doors.

So many great details in one room...First the concrete dining table is to die for.  The finish and fabrics on the chairs are absolutely perfect.  Fabulous window treatments over windows that go to the floor.  A beautiful rug...The painted sideboard is an old piece that we also found.  Iron sconces and chandelier with special finishes and dressed with hand picked crystal prisms make them truly unique.

Now beautifully decorated for Christmas...

We specialize in details...This is a gorgeous tray with an antiqued mirror top, but was just too flat.  We had small feet finished and added and now it sits at the perfect height.

The music room is just across the foyer. There is an alcove where the front window is and the baby grand sits there with a crystal chandelier hanging above it that we also found at Round Top. The sitting area by the fire is both beautiful and very intimate...

I just love this room...From the window treatments, chandelier, beautiful fireplace with the old Stations of the Cross hanging above to the fabulous bookcases...It's just a beautiful room.  The cute little Christmas deer are covered in sheet music.  We were thrilled to find those...

Join us in the family room.

Soooo many details in this house that we will blog about later..today it's all about Christmas...let's go to the kitchen...

We changed out the island piece from pumpkins and mums to poinsettias, a fresh rosemary tree and pomegranates...It's fun to have a centerpiece like this great footed bowl that we have in our store that allows  you to easily change the decor with each new season.  The driftwood and iron angels hold little votive holders and are festive as well.

We couldn't forget the covered  back porch...

Cute sweater pillows along with a Christmas pillow from Pottery Barn...We'll change them out in the Spring...

I hope you have enjoyed the Christmas tour of this incredible home.  We hope to share more of the details of this project in the future.  I just have to say that working with these clients has been a real treat.  They have fabulous taste themselves yet have been very open to fresh new ideas.  We have a great working relationship and have all worked together along with Parkinson Building Group to make this home the best that it can be. We thank our clients for the opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful project..

It's your turn.  Let's talk!
