The great thing about working in interior design is that it's a constant learning experience. We study other designer's work, diligently search out new inspiration, and as time allows, read everything we can get our hands on.
One fabulous designer that always inspires us is Darryl Carter from Washington D.C. His work is clean and relaxed. Darryl says that he likes things " that are subdued, abstract, and subliminal." a perfect description of his recent renovation of a Tudor Revival home in D.C.
I've been allowing the images to speak for themselves...but I just have to say that I think this breakfast area is completely stunning. So fresh and clean. Love, love the painted small louvered shutters that bi-fold open so easily. And the planter filled with beautiful green plants makes this space feel like a solarium. Fabulous!
