Hearth Room during construction
Each room flows together and all the details were carefully thought out through out the process. A stone wall with arches separates the kitchen from the Hearth Room and is a beautiful focal point.

We've shared so many updates during the whole process of this home in previous blog posts and on Instagram.

Below: Hearth Room Fabrics... How beautiful is this embroidered fabric that we used for drapes and ottomans? We wanted really soft colors and textures.. this blue highlights the serene lake through the windows..We thought a lot about the view when picking fabrics - who wouldn't?

Cantley & Co. out of Birmingham built all the custom cabinets through out the home.

Kitchen / Sitting Area - Hood by Ancient Surfaces
In almost every french style kitchen there's a lot of natural stone and weathered wood finishes... The custom reclaimed wood counter top was by Jim Simpson of Simpson Construction Company We used a stone antique fragment that we found at Round Top and built it into the range wall backsplash.
I had a whole blog post during the construction period of this Kitchen ... See previous post

I was really inspired by Homer Oatman's Design of this California Beach House (Image to the right)

If you follow our blog and Pinterest you'd know we are huge fans of Pamela Pierce .. she is an editor/ owner of Milieu Magazine. I've always loved this kitchen - the feel.. all of it is just beautiful. We added full skirted dining chairs to soften the kitchen stone - similar to what Pam did.
