Its Friday and its fabulous here at the NEW Providence Design Showroom! We are working hard to get everything ready for our party next week. Hope to see you there
Dear friends...Please raise your glasses with us because we have some very exciting news!
January 1, 2016 we are moving into our brand new store and design studio!
We could not be more excited!
We'll still be located in Capital Park by Cajuns Wharf which has become Little Rock's premier design and decorative center...just moving a few doors down.
But...We will have more than twice the amount of space we have now. And air conditioning!
Yes... these are warehouses and currently only our offices are air conditioned...but with the move our showroom will be air conditioned and heated as well. More offices, a dedicated conference room, fabric room, kitchen...and so much more.
The space is really pristine and needs very little work...but of course we are very busy making plans to really make this space our own.
It's going to be beautiful!
It seems like only yesterday that we made the decision to sub-lease part of the space occupied by our good friends at Chandler and Associates...Approximately 3500 square ft. But it's been two years!
One of the reasons we don't have an air conditioned showroom is we sub -leased part of Chandlers warehouse...We had to erect our own walls to divide the space and make a showroom...
And I have to say we have done a phenomenal job with a very challenging space...
One of the best decisions we ever made was to hire Zac....He worked tirelessly to help us get this store open...
It's been a crazy busy two years...
Lot's of new clients and fun projects...both local and National recognition for our work...
Our project on the cover of Country French...Now in it's second printing! We had two different homes featured in this issue.
Included on the cover of the January issue of At Home in Arkansas among the 24 trend setting designers in Arkansas...
We were thrilled to be featured in Southern Lady Magazine...
We had a project featured in Tuscan Style other features in At Home in Arkansas and AY Magazine as well.
We were the chosen design team for the Southern Living Idea House that was open to the public in Little Rock last April...We made all of the design decisions from the ground up and staged the entire home...It was an amazing experience working with the builders and the promoters for this event.
We work really hard...like all of the time. But we always have fun...
And we adore our clients...
We have an awesome team!
We recently got all of our inventory on the computer and are printing vs writing tags...
What a job that was!
Thank-you, Lana for all that you do! You take a job and just run with it!
And Sharon...you have always been there for us when we need you. We just can't thank you enough...And may be needing you a lot more. Hint! Hint!
And Zac is our little brother, our son, our friend...and our complete partner in crime!
I think I'm getting a bit sentimental...
It's been an amazing two years...But the best is yet to come!
We can't wait to pick up those keys!
Please celebrate with us!
It's your turn. Let's talk!
This Thursday we are inspired by a local artist, Lisa Krannichfeld. We recently came across her work while on Facebook, and fell in love.
She was born and raised here in Little Rock, into a mix of Southern American and Chinese cultures. These cultures and traditions have greatly impacted her work, especially when the woman is the subject. Lisa gives the women in her paintings power and a voice, challenging the mindset to serve and suppress, common in the south and Chinese cultures. Lisa often uses traditional Chinese ink along with watercolor in an uncontrolled, free flowing manor.
She is currently working on a new collection called, Dressed, that she will exhibit sometime in May at the M2 Gallery in Little Rock. We love the way the strong patterns play with the soft, flowing watercolor.
Lisa has been featured in multiple publications. Some of those include The Jealous Curator, Anthology Magazine, and was recently named the "One to Watch" by the Saatchi Art Magazine.
Here in Arkansas, Soiree' has named here a "Woman to Watch".
Her work is included in many private and corporate collections worldwide.

Does Lisa's work inspire you like it does us?
Its your turn. Lets Talk!
It's another snowy Monday at Providence Design, but that doesn't keep us from dreaming about Spring!
We wanted a fresh new look for the front of the store... so color it is. We love mixing different design styles and elements... like the modern art paired with the more classic look of the console.
The art is all original's by artist Peter Keil. We love the style of his work. We have the four brightly colored pieces shown here, as well as some that are just black and white. They are just fabulous!
The blue and white ginger jars mixed with the blue and white candles brought in more color, alongside the latest Veranda coffee table book and faux Kalanchoe plants.
The perfect mix for a wonderful Spring vignette at the front of our store.
Are you ready for Spring and the colors it brings?
Its your turn. Lets Talk!
In our last post we explained how this week our Inspired By feature is in two separate posts!
Last week on our Facebook page we posted a couple of photos of bedrooms and bathrooms that were either light or dark, and we asked which of the two you preferred.
We already posted the lighter looks, now lets check out the darker rooms, then you tell us what look you prefer!
Again we will start with the Living Room...
Now lets check out a few Kitchens...
Next the Bedroom....
Finally lets look at three darker bathrooms...
So after seeing the darker spaces how do you feel? Still partial to the lighter ones of the first post? Leaning more towards the darker rooms?
Its your turn. Lets talk!
